I'm not apparent on the last bit of the sentence, "which one particular may be the best". I thought it is similar to your clause in "I am gonna protect the things they are", the get of object and the verb is reversed (I forgot just what the grammatical time period is), "which a person will be the best" really should rather be a thing like "which 1
